Rodrigo Rushka started his career at Tattoos By Lou South Beach in 2000 as a body piercer. He moved to Wildwood, N.J. where he apprenticed at a high volume tattoo studio on the boardwalk. Rod appreciates the opprotunity he was given to learn and build his skills in the traditional manner, with hard work and dedication.
Rod came backto Miami and purchased the Hialeah Tattoos By Lou, turning it into Black Sparrow Tattoo Company.
Rodrigo looks to "Phat" Joe Bringas as the man who introduced him to tattooing. In his career, Rodrigo has only taken on one apprentice, Steven Rodriguez.
Rodrigo enjoys working in many styles of tattooing, however his favorite is simple, clean black tattoos.
Rodrigo is always working to improve and evolve his art. His artwork has been exhibited in several art shows throughout South Florida.
Rodrigo is also a musician with over 30 years experience. He has played in a fairly successful Miami punk band, Nobody's Hero.
